Intrigues:

The crisis rocking Kaduna chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has taken a damaging dimension, as Governor Nasir El-rufai was accused of financially inducing the Tudun Wada Ward 6 Executives to suspend Senator Shehu Sani, Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial Districts.

Acting Secretary of the Kaduna South Chairmen’s Forum of the APC, Ado Sani Mohammed made the allegation on Wednesday in a press conference he addressed at the Secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists,(NUJ) Kaduna.
According to him, the Special Adviser to Governor El-rufai on Trade and Investment, Alhaji Mukhtar Ahmed Morovia with the consent of the state governor organised a meeting with the executives of the APC in Tudun Wada North Ward 6 and induced them financially to sign a document that led to the suspension of Senator Shehu Sani.
He further explained that, his forum had initiated a move to settle the brewing crisis in the party in Kaduna State, and had met with Senator Sani’s camp who have agreed to toe the path of peace. He stressed that the forum also met with Mukhtar Morovia to facilitate a meeting with the governor for the same purpose, but that meeting was never arranged.
“We approach the Special Adviser to the governor on Trade and Investment, Mukhtar Morovia to arrange a meeting for us with the executive Governor, Nasir El-Rufai and we gave him all the load-down of what transpired between us and the Senator and that the Senator and his people are ready to come to round-table, and he promised to facilitate the meeting between the forum and the governor.
“But to our surprise, the same person who was supposed to facilitate a meeting between us and the governor, went ahead to organise a meeting between the Exco of Ward 6 Tudun Wada North at Murtala Square and to be precise at polo club where he gave them N500,000 and a lot of promises that they should sign a paper for him.
According to him, most of the Ward exco admitted signing the document ignorantly, mistaken it for an attendance of a meeting because of their inability to read and write.
He described as unfortunate the dimension of the crisis rocking the party in the state, stressing that, the party does not need all those distractions if they want to consolidate on their victory at the polls and also deliver the promised change to teeming Nigerian populace in the state.
Ado Sani however denied that the party is factionalised in the state explaining that, his forum recognise only state party executives that emerged through the last state congress of the party. But admitted that vacum has been created with some of the party executives appointed into the administration of governor El-Rufai.
It would be recalled that the Tudun Wada of the All Progressives Congress (APC) suspended Senator Shehu Sani for 11-month in a letter to the Senator dated December 27 signed by the Ward Secretary, Ahmed Abdulhamid and ex-officio member, Aminu Alilan.
The said Senator Sani’s offece include; uttering statements that allegedly violate the rules of engagement of the party, factionalising the party and engaging in anti-party activities by criticizing the policies of Governor Nasir El-Rufai.
