Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was today (January 14th) honored by the Southern Christian Leadership Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. Founded by the late American Civil Right leader, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, in January 1957, it is currently led by Dr. Charles Steele Jr. Dr. Jonathan also received Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s sister, Naomi King (the lady with the black hat who hugged him) during the event. 
Matthew 5:5 is the fifth verse of the fifth chapter of the Gospel of Matthew in the New Testament. It is the third verse of the Sermon on the Mount, and also third of what are known as the Beatitudes. In the King James Version of the Bible the text reads: Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
