FUNDAMENTALIST: A person who takes their religion so literally and to such extremes that they contradict the very basis of their faith. They typically believe in a literal, verbatim interpretation of their scripture. They also have ridiculous, childish defenses to intelligent criticism of their beliefs that border on insanity. The level of hypocrisy and stupidity most of these people exhibit is truly profound. ~ Urban Dictionary.
The recent utterance of Dakuku Peterside saying Governor Nyesom Wike influenced the Decision of the Supreme Court Judgement, shows that he is not a Politician but rather a Fundamentalist just like his party the APC, which is a Fundamentalist group that believes in conquering all the states in Nigeria, despite the fact that they control more than 25 states of the Federation and the Federal government.

A good politician would have accepted the supreme Court Judgement, look for ways to work with the ruling government and then contribute his own quota back to the people he wanted to Govern. That of Dakuku has been different, as instead he has gone around making unguarded statements aimed at heating up the Polity of the state, and inciting the security forces against the people of the state, in a calculated attempt to intimidate ahead of the Rerun Legislative Election.
When Sir Celestine Omehia lost his supreme Court Judgement to Rotimi Amaechi in 2007, he behaved as a Politician and never accused the Supreme Court of being influenced.

The body Language of Dakuku suggests that he only wanted to become Governor for his own Selfish reasons, not because he cared about Rivers People and that he was also Playing the script of his Party the APC, who had an agenda to control oil rich states in the Niger Delta at all cost an exhibition of Political Fundamentalism.

As a Rivers man that he is, it will be imperative for Dakuku Peterside to abandon his fundamentalist mentality, give peace a chance and allow the developmental strides of the Nyesom Wike led Administration to continue so as to better the lives of Rivers people. “Peace is Priceless”
