The governor of Bayelsa State, Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson has reunited the leaders of the Imo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as the leaders and elders unequivocally pledged their loyalty to the PDP National Executive Council (NEC).
It would be recalled that following the resolve of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP to unite its members and strengthen the party across the country, the national chairman, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff on March 8, 2016 set up a peace and reconciliation committee headed by Governor Dickson.
In a communiqué made available to LEADERSHIP jointly signed by Mr Achike Udenwa, Mr Ikedi Ohakim, Senator Hope Uzodinma, Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, Chief Innocent Nwoga, Amb. Kema Chikwe, Senator Chris Anyanwu, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, Senator Athan Achonu, the leadership of the party noted that all interpersonal issues were amicably settled and the meeting ended in a unanimous note, and resolved to work as a team.
The leadership of the Imo State PDP particularly commended the national chairman for envisioning the meeting as well as thanked Governor Dickson for convening the meeting to resolve the crisis bedevilling the Imo State chapter.
It also congratulated Senator Ali Modu Sheriff on his emergence as national chairman of PDP and vouched for his ability to reposition the party.
‘’The meeting came up with a template for an all- inclusive- leadership meeting to hold in Imo State under the leadership of Governor Dickson. All feuding camps and structures are to coalesce in the overall interest of our great party. The upcoming congresses will be conducted in a free and fair manner.
