– The Acting Director-General, Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), Engineer Ahmed Abdu made an interesting revelation today, March 31

– Abdu revealed that between 2009 and 2014, BPP saved the nation N680 billion – The achievement was possible because of prior review of contracts awarded by Ministries, Departments and Agencies

– The period in view was during the administration of Late Musa Yar’adua and his successor, Goodluck Jonathan Abdu made the revelation at the 2nd National Conference on Public Procurement (NACOPP) with the theme ”Sustaining the Anti-Corruption Campaign Through Best Procurement Practices.”
