The embattled publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore, has taken his blackmailing business to a new height, this time, by accusing the CEO of facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, of collecting bribe from the Nigerian Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki.
Over the last few years, Sowore has accused prominent Nigerians of either trying to assassinate him or pull his platform down for reasons best known to him. He has severally accused former ministers, Obanikoro, Madwekwe, Oduah etc of varying crimes. All efforts by these individuals to get at him through litigation have proven abortive as a result of his non-residence in Nigeria.
But taking blackmail to a ridiculous extent, Sowore today alleged that Saraki and Facebook and in cohort to destroy him and his controversial platform. In a post on his personal facebook wall an hour ago, Sowore alleged that Saraki tampered with his (Sowore)’s copyright.
“Folks: While Facebook was busy locking me out for posting telephone numbers of Nigerian officials, it has kept an impostor page of Sahara Reporters running.
The fake page “Sahara Reporters R” is sponsored by embattled Nigerian Senate President Bukola Saraki. The same day we posted these numbers, Saraki’s fake page equally posted phone numbers of Justice Danladi Umar, the judge overseeing Saraki trial for corruption and false declaration of assets. They were not penalized.
It turns out Facebook had been collecting dirty money from Saraki to keep the page alive and growing. Saraki is spending heavily on Facebook to buy ‘likes’ for its fake impostor page of Sahara. It is important that Facebook is called out on its shady dealings.”
Pundits have stated that Sowore is only smarting from the recent blockage of his page by Facebook for illegally publishing direct phone numbers of prominent Nigerians, including the Director – General of State Security Services (DSS) and the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase.
Several commentators under the post have deployed the ridiculous level Sowore has gone and advised him to leave out facebook and his CEO out of his blackmail business.
It seems Sowore’s undeclared goal is for minions on facebook who believe his lies to bombard and put pressure on facebook to yank the fast growing Sahara Reporters Rescue (SRR) off line for no just cause other than that it infringes on Sowore’s page online, which is markedly different from SRR in terms of outlook and content.
