All is now set for the commencement of Lagos-calabar railway project. The Minister of Petroleum, Chief Rotimi Amaechi signed the MoU on behalf of the Federal government at $11.12bn.
The President of CCECC, Cao Baogang signed on behalf of the company. The contract was awarded by President Goodluck Jonathan at $11.92bn but negotiated downwards.
FG has saved $800m from this singular act.
The railway project will cover the following:

***Agbor
***Asaba
***Onitsha
***Aba
***Port Harcourt
***Calabar
***Uyo
***Ughelli
***Warri

This is really a welcome development as it will create jobs for the youths. Kudos.
