SIX REASONS WHY WE MUST RETURN SENATOR ATHAN NNEJI ACHONU (AGU OTU AKA)  TO THE SENATE.

1. He won the previous election with landslide victory. The re-run was ordered because of the exclusion of a party during the election by INEC.

2. While in the Senate for just less than six months, he sponsored the following bills:

*Sponsored the Bill to enable Nigerians in diaspora to participate in elections in Nigeria

*Petroleum Amendment bill to encourage local processing of petroleum products and liberalization of oil license for regular supply of petroleum products.

*Mining and Solid Mineral (2007) amendment act 2015 to encourage liberalization of licenses and local processing of solid minerals.

*Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Bill to discourage monopoly and cartels. To encourage competition and level playing ground in all businesses in Nigeria.

3. Senator Athan Achonu’s hard work and influence in the Senate led to his appointment as:

4. Free Medical missions twice a year throughout Okigwe Zone.

5. Award of Scholarship to 68 brilliant but indigent students selected through competitive process from the 64 wards in Okigwe Zone in fulfilment of his campaign promise.

6. Visit to Okigwe by the Senate Ad Hoc Committee on works to access ecological problems in Okigwe Zone and provision in the budget for development.
