Protocols,

Igbo Kwenu!, Oha Na Eze kwenu! Igbo Muru Nze Muo Ozo, Kwezuo nu!
Ndu mmiri Ndu Azu…

Igbo Intelligentsia Forum once more felicitates with you, our dear President General on your election not only as the PG but as Igbo leader world-wide. We also extend our sincere greetings to the entire team of your new executive.

Your election came at a very inauspicious time in our history when Ndi Igbo, albeit our country Nigeria appear to be at a crossroad.
What has brought us to this position is not farfetched. The crass dysfunctional nation bequeathed to us by our founding fathers, further transmogrified by inept leadership over the years, the barefaced marginalization of Ndi Igbo, the crumple into nepotism, impunity and outright wickedness all targeted at the Igbo nation has led to the comatose position the country has found itself today. As our fathers said, ‘onye ji m n’ala, ji onwe ya.’

The Igbo nation needs salvation and a new direction as it struggles to free itself from the grips of an unyielding monster. The Igbo nation you have come to lead is still facing all those who think that defeated over forty years ago, the Igbo should continue to endure injustice, discrimination and humiliation. This is an arrogant and insensitive position, which has continuously inflamed passion and caused tension as we have seen in the new clamour for Biafraexit.

IIF not only being part of your near consensual emergence as our new President General has followed your activities since you assumed office and is extremely happy at each strategic step you have taken to reposition AlaIgbo. Some of our traducers having no inclination into our nature and cosmology, most often dismiss Ndi Igbo as leaderless or very difficult to lead. The grand pan Igbo loyalty and support you have garnered so far is an indication of how wrong they are.

The Igbo follow and respect intoto a sincere leader, a leader who is completely open, a leader who is considered innocent (aka ya di ocha), a leader who takes on the cause of the masses and fights it without let, a leader who looks the strong in the face and tells him the truth, etc. A cursory look at some of the leaders whom the Igbo followed in the past with all their heart will make this point clearer. ZIK, M.I. Okpara, Sam Mbakwe, Akanu Ibiam, Ojukwu etc.

IIF and today’s Ndi Igbo see you in the above light. You can’t afford to fail. As you are aware, Igbo Intelligentsia Forum is a pan Igbo organization made up of intellectuals from across all professions and disciplines both domiciled in Igboland and Diaspora. Our avowed aim is to act as an intellectual interventionist agency and pool of Ideas and resources for the benefit of the Igbo nation.

We are here to pledge our total support to you and your administration and to place before you this vast pool that Ohaneze can make use of.
We are also here to partner with Ohaneze while placing ourselves at your service for the benefit of Igboand.
So far we have engaged ourselves as gatekeepers for good governance in the Igbo states. We are currently engaging our various state governors and elected officials, local and national on Igbo interest.

We are working assiduously to facilitate South East Economic Regional Development through Ndi Igbo business class and our political class. We hold dearly to the idea of Aku Ruo Ulo. We have set in motion the idea of an Ala-Igbo mega city project and are concluding plans for launching our ICARI program, i.e. International Center for Academic and Research Initiative, details of which we will forward to your office for Ohaneze buy-in, amidst other activities.

As you were elected by the OHA, we urge you to carry the OHA along as you are currently doing. As did by the Igbo State Union of yore, have an OHA buy-in so that Ohaneze will become truly Oha Na Eze.

We once more congratulate you on your election.

Oga adiri gi mma na Eke

Oga adiri gi mma na Orie

Oga adiri gi mma na Afo

Oga adiri gi mma na Nkwo

Chukwu ndi Igbo duo gi na ndi Igbo nile – Isee!!!

Signed:
Chief Joseph. C. Ikunna
