Today September 25th in the year 1967, this brave and fearless young man was born into the family of HRH (Sir) (JP) Israel Okwu-Kanu in Isiama Afaraukwu, Ibeku, Umuahia, Abia State.
Hate him or love him, in just about 2 years, he was able to ignite a serious debate about the wholesome restructuring of our dear country Nigeria using Biafraexit as his bargaining tool in dealing with an extremely stubborn northern establishment. Something that seemed impossible even before his birth.
He is also the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, which was recently illegally declared a “terrorist organisation” by the Nigerian government. However, the United States has said clearly that, “IPOB is not a terrorist organisation”.
