Our political culture does produce true leaders. The culture produces merchantilist, overtly ambitious, opportunistic and visionless politicians, and that is why they compromise leadership principles to please and align with the culture that produces them, they don’t have their own focus.
We don’t need more politicians in leadership, we’ve gotten enough of them, what we need is leaders that are active in politics.
Don’t ever believe that a Politician is a leader, because the system that we have, has always produced politicians it doesn’t produce leaders.
People who don’t understand leadership are the ones leading us today, and aspiring to continue to lead us. What we need is more LEADERS in politics and not politicians.
A large number of our politicians are power-hungry and greedy chaps suffering from poor self esteem and concept, and trying to compensate for it through perpetuation of themselves in power and governance which serves as a mask to cover their charlatanic inadequacies.
Don’t ever believe that the referenced crop of politicians are leaders. These politicians only focus on programs, they don’t have any vision for the future. Their priority is securing the next election or the next position. That is all they think about.
The development and security of next generation is not on their agenda, and they do things only to benefit their continued perpetuation and rise in the corridors of power.
They are preoccupied with Promises not purpose. We will do this, and we will do that, is all we hear them say.
The more successful you are in life, if you are a true leader, the less praise singing, titles and accolades you would need.
Politics without principles and conscience is destroying our Country.
As earlier said, we don’t need more politicians, what we need is leadership in politicians.
Being a politician doesn’t make you a leader, the System we have as we all well know, only produces politicians It doesn’t produce leaders.
These crop of politicians have no interest in our lives, or the future of our Children, they are only concerned about the next elections and not about the next generation. True leadership is focused on the people with purpose, passion and principles for good governance.
Leadership is not about having power to control, but of service to the people.
Our definition and our concept of leadership is part of the problem. 90% of politicians we call leaders are not truly leaders like the ones we can say empower people for the future. A true leader is person who creates avenues to uplift his followers and citizens and not keep them beggarly and bound as slaves.
Leadership is not about manipulation, it’s about inspiration. Inspiring people is the highest form of true leadership. True leaders don’t manipulate they inspire.
Leadership is not about manipulating and buying over people to follow you, true leaders do not seek followers, followers flock to them.
This kind of misguided political leadership is destroying our LGAs, our states, our national leadership and our country.
