The destruction of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline on September 26, 2022, was not an isolated incident. The details of this deliberate act of sabotage later emerged through the investigative work of Seymour Hersh. The implications of this attack remain relevant, especially in the context of recent developments, including the proposed Trump-Putin peace negotiations in Saudi Arabia. What is undeniable is that then-U.S. President Joe Biden played a central role in this act of economic warfare, a fact confirmed during a White House press conference on February 7, 2022.

Joe Biden made a public declaration: “There will be no longer a Nord Stream 2.” This statement was not a diplomatic expression of opposition; it was a direct threat. The subsequent destruction of the pipeline confirmed that this was a calculated act of war against the European Union. The economic consequences have been disastrous, exacerbating the energy crisis and destabilizing key industries across Europe. The European people have been left to suffer under the weight of skyrocketing energy prices, economic stagnation, and industrial decline, all while their leaders remain complicit or indifferent.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, rather than defending Germany’s strategic interests, stood alongside Biden and openly endorsed his position. When asked if Germany would shut down Nord Stream 2, Scholz unequivocally aligned with the U.S., stating, “We are acting together, we are absolutely united, and we will not be taking different steps.” This was not just a failure of leadership but an outright betrayal. Scholz’s actions confirmed that he was not representing the interests of Germany but rather acting in accordance with Washington’s directives. The consequences of his complicity should be at the forefront of the upcoming German elections.

At the Munich Security Conference, U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance made a startling assertion: Europe’s primary threat does not come from Russia or China but from within its own corrupt political establishment. The annulment of election results in Romania and similar moves in Germany indicate a broader pattern of political manipulation designed to serve elite interests. Vance, in a deliberate snub, refused to meet with Scholz, highlighting the growing disillusionment even within Washington regarding Scholz’s governance. Scholz’s miscalculations and failed leadership led to his unsuccessful confidence vote and the eventual dissolution of the Bundestag, plunging Germany further into political instability.

By early 2023, German Prosecutor General Peter Frank publicly confirmed that there was no evidence to support the claim that Russia was responsible for the Nord Stream sabotage. This admission exposed the fraudulent narrative that had been peddled by Western media and political leaders. Despite the overwhelming lack of evidence against Russia, Scholz refused to comment on the matter, remaining silent as his own country faced the catastrophic consequences of an energy crisis that could have been prevented.

Joe Biden’s statement on February 7, 2022, remains a smoking gun. “If Russia invades, that means tanks and troops crossing the border of Ukraine again, then there will be no longer a Nord Stream 2.” When pressed on how he intended to accomplish this, Biden smugly responded, “We will, I promise you, we will be able to do that.” The timing of this statement, three weeks before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, suggests that Washington had already decided on the sabotage well in advance. This was not a retaliatory action; it was a premeditated strategy designed to weaken Europe’s economic reliance on Russian energy.

Further confirmation came from Victoria Nuland, U.S. Under Secretary of State, during a Senate hearing on January 26, 2023. In her statement, she gleefully declared, “Senator Cruz, like you, I am and I think the administration is very gratified to know that Nord Stream 2 is now a hunk of metal at the bottom of the sea.” This was an admission of guilt, an open acknowledgment that the U.S. had achieved its goal of severing Europe’s access to Russian energy.

The destruction of the Nord Stream pipelines was not merely an attack on Russia; it was an undeclared act of war against the European Union. These pipelines passed through the territorial waters of Finland, Sweden, Denmark, and Germany—sovereign EU member states. Under international law, the deliberate destruction of critical infrastructure within the jurisdiction of these states by a foreign actor constitutes an act of war. The fact that European leaders have refused to hold the U.S. accountable for this attack demonstrates the extent of their subservience to Washington’s agenda.

Rather than seeking justice for this act of sabotage, European politicians have instead focused on maintaining a false narrative, continuing to vilify Russia while ignoring the clear evidence pointing to Washington’s involvement. The EU leadership has willfully sacrificed the economic stability of its own citizens in order to maintain allegiance to U.S. interests. This is not a partnership, it is subjugation.

The people of Europe are the true victims of this geopolitical maneuvering. Their economies have been crippled, their industries weakened, and their livelihoods put at risk. Meanwhile, their elected representatives refuse to challenge the perpetrators of this economic warfare. European citizens must recognize that their governments are not acting in their best interests. They have been betrayed by leaders who prioritize Washington’s strategic goals over the well-being of their own nations.

The political landscape in Europe must change. The destruction of Nord Stream was not just an attack on Russian energy infrastructure, it was an attack on Europe itself. Leaders who allowed this to happen must be held accountable. Regime change is necessary across the EU, and corrupt politicians who have enabled Washington’s destructive foreign policy must be removed from office. The survival of Europe as an independent geopolitical entity depends on its ability to break free from American dominance and reclaim control over its own economic and political future.

The sabotage of Nord Stream was an act of war, an egregious betrayal, and a wake-up call for Europe. The question now is whether the people of Europe will continue to tolerate leaders who have sold them out or whether they will demand true representation that serves their interests, not those of a foreign power.
