Resetting the Standard. Restoring the State.

  1. Must Be from Owerri Zone

Power must rotate. It is the unambiguous turn of Owerri Zone to produce the next governor, in line with the Charter of Equity.

Justice demands it. Unity requires it. Fairness cannot be sacrificed on the altar of ambition.

  1. Proven Track Record in Business, Leadership, or Public Service

Governance is not a poverty alleviation scheme. Only candidates with demonstrable success in enterprise, administration, or public service should be considered.

Those who failed in business or politics must not be allowed to use Imo as a springboard for personal recovery.

  1. Publicly Defended and Authenticated Manifesto

Every candidate must produce a detailed, practical, and visionary manifesto, and defend it in public town halls and debates.

No ghostwritten documents. No recycled blueprints. We must verify ownership of ideas before entrusting power.

If you cannot defend your vision, you don’t have one.

  1. Transparent Financial and Political Records

Candidates must:

Publicly declare assets and liabilities.

List all sources of income in the last 20 years.

Submit a verifiable statement of financial standing spanning the past two decades, audited by a neutral professional firm.

Imo people must see where you were before government, so we can track where you go after government.

  1. Psychological Evaluation and Mental Fitness

Each aspirant must undergo a comprehensive psychological, emotional, and cognitive evaluation.

No state should be governed by individuals who may suffer from untreated narcissism, chronic paranoia, emotional instability, or delusions of grandeur.

Mental wellness is a governance requirement, not an afterthought.

  1. Integrity, Moral Standing, and Personal Discipline

We must demand a history of ethical conduct, respect for public trust, and a clean personal lifestyle.

Anyone who has changed political parties few times, betrayed allies, or made politics a career of deceit is unfit for public trust.

  1. Broad-Based Acceptability and Statewide Respect

The next governor must be widely acceptable beyond tribal or clannish lines.

Imo needs a leader, not a sectional champion or cult-favoured aspirant.

  1. Capacity to Attract Investment and Drive Development

Nigeria is in an economic crisis. FAAC allocations are unreliable.

Only those with demonstrated ability to attract private capital, grow IGR, and stimulate innovation should lead.

We don’t need ceremonial leaders. We need deal-makers, builders, and reformers.

  1. Clear Answer to the Big Question: Why Do You Want to Be Governor?

Every candidate must answer this publicly, not in hushed rooms, but before Ndi Imo.

If the answer is anything other than selfless service and economic transformation, they shouldnt be considered.

  1. Full Disclosure and Accountability Before the Race

Let this be made clear:
We will not allow hustlers to grow fat on our collective resources.
We will not hand over our destiny to men who have nothing to show but slogans, fake philantrophy and ambition.

Ndi Imo, Say Never Again:

Never accept political frauds and decorated failures.

Never accept recycled puppets and cronies.

Never accept leaders who are not mentally, morally, and financially ready.
