On the 16th of December 2025, I, Hon. Duruebube Chima ‘Oblong’ Nnadi-Oforgu, will step boldly into the Sixth Floor. A new chapter. A higher realm. A milestone carved not by mere years, but by battles fought, storms survived, destinies shaped, and divine grace overflowing.
This is not just a birthday.
It is a celebration of existence.
A thanksgiving for a life lived under the unyielding watch of the Almighty God, the Eternal Architect who designed my path long before I took my first breath.
MY STORY: FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS TO THE SIXTH FLOOR
I came into this world on 16th December 1965, born into a lineage of dignity, the proud Nnadi-Oforgu bloodline, descendants of men of honour and ancient wealth, custodians of memory, and defenders of heritage.
From the cradle, destiny marked me with a stubborn spirit, a restless curiosity, and a fearlessness that would define my journey.
From Islington, Finchley, Hampstead London, to Maryland Ikeja, to Enugu, to Nkwerre, to the world beyond, every school, every street, every city contributed a chapter to the man now called Duruebube “OBLONG”.
Life taught me early that nothing is given; everything is earned.
And so I worked, built, fought, rose, fell, rose again, stronger each time.
From the corporate corridors of Krohne Oil & Gas BV, where I led Krohne to a $4.4m landmark deal with LNG…
…to the battlefield of political activism, where my voice became my armour…
…to building Sagitarius Construction Ltd., Oblong Media Unlimited, Fuel active Nig. Ltd, and multiple transformative ventures…
My life has been a journey of reinvention, fuelled by purpose, conviction, and the invisible hand of God.
I have stood before kings and commoners, confronted power without fear, spoken truth when silence was safer, and walked alone when multitudes chose the easier path.
But through it all, through victories and valleys, God Almighty has been my anchor.
THE HAND OF GOD UPON MY LIFE
If you want to understand my story, remove luck and replace it with grace.
If you want to interpret my resilience, remove ego and replace it with mercy.
If you want to explain my survival, remove coincidence and replace it with divine orchestration.
I am alive because God willed it.
I am standing because God strengthened me.
I am unbroken because God preserved me.
For every pit, He gave me a ladder.
For every storm, He provided a harbour.
For every enemy, He raised a shield.
For every setback, He prepared a comeback.
How then shall I not bow in gratitude?
Today, I say with a full heart:
To the Almighty Architect of the Universe, thank You for almost 60 years of breath, battles, blessings, breakthroughs, and becoming.
THE SIXTH FLOOR: A NEW CHAPTER BEGINS
60 is not the end; it is the crowning of a journey and the beginning of a greater mandate.
It is the age of alignment.
The age of legacy.
The age of purpose refined by fire.
I step into this new decade not as a survivor, but as a witness to God’s glory.
I step in with gratitude for the roads behind me, clarity for the path before me, and courage for the destiny ahead.
My story continues, stronger, louder, deeper, and more impactful than ever.
ON THAT DAY, I WILL CELEBRATE LIFE. BUT ABOVE ALL, I WILL CELEBRATE GOD.
To friends, family, allies, critics, supporters, and those who walked with me through seasons both bright and dark,
thank you.
To my ancestors whose blood runs in my veins,
I honour you.
And to the Almighty God who made 60 possible,
I glorify Your holy name.
