-Chief Mbazulike Amechi accuses President Buhari of not showing enough capacity that he can change Nigeria

-He makes a revelation that there are at least 8 powerful men within the Buhari government who could crush the president if he fails to do according to their request

President Muhammadu Buhari may have serious problems as he is reportedly caged by eight powerful men. Chief Mbazulike Amechi, a frontline nationalist, revealed this in the interview granted to the Daily Sun Newspaper in Ukpor, Anambra state.

The elder statesman said that there are eight powerful men within Buhari’s cabinet and his party, All Progressives Congress (APC) who may act as interference to his plans and government.

He stated that the country is at war and should be in a “declared or undeclared state of emergency” in order to oppose the forthcoming war. Chief Amechi said that if he met President Buhari he would tell him the following: “I will tell him, my dear General, sorry Mr President, are you not worried about the state of the country, which we handed over to you on a platter of gold in May last year? What I will tell him depends on his attitude to the situation. I am not near enough to know how free he is because you may have a president who is shackled by lieutenants and colleagues in the party. And he, being a military man more than a politician may not understand the game very well.

There are some people who get rich in the midst of crisis. “There are people who are empowering themselves by the present chaotic situation in the country. And if such people encircle a president, that president is in serious trouble. I don’t know if Buhari is in that state now.

But there are some people even outside his cabinet who are very powerful. They have stolen so much money in this country that if he doesn’t take care they might even do something to him. There are such people. There are eight of them in his government; in his political party, who are so powerful in every way that if he doesn’t take their way they will do something to him.”

Amechi doubted the capacity and ability of President Buhari to change Nigeria saying that his government may lead to “imminent total collapse of the nation.”

He also stated that the major cog in the wheel of progress in the fight against corruption is that “there is corruption in Buhari’s government.” Amechi boasted of the rare privilege of being a witness and participant in the Nigerian story, right from independence in 1960, through, civil war, army dictatorships and back to civilian rule.

He also had the remarkable honour of hosting Nelson Mandela, when he came for consultations with some Nigerian nationalists during the period of struggle against apartheid.

What is wrong with this man? It is obvious from his comments that he is yet to see the good works that going on in this present administration. We all voted change and has come. The wind of change is going to catch up with people like Mbazulike. And the cockroaches in their cuboard will be exposed. Do think twice president Buhari’s fight against corruption is coming to your door step. And the money you collected during the previous administration will be retrieved from you

  3. This is not what is expected at a time as this, we should do what we need to do and not start making unnecessary insinuating comments about the sitting president of the country just because we are in a democracy. What would have happened if it wasn’t so.

  4. Mr President, I believe would do what he should do in order to get the best for Nigeria. Yes there may be saboteurs, but it is not peculiar to us as a nation, it is everywhere, it is believed that Mr President would do what is in his capacity not to allow people with divergent opinions to affect his work as president.

  6. Amechi claims that there are people controlling President Buhari, where did he get this from?
    Can he prove such claims?
Please leave us alone and face your work! Enough is enough!

  8. I can say confidently that President Muhammadu Buhari is in full control of his government to the extent no member of his cabinet has the capability to cage him including the eight powerful men as stated by Chief Mbazulike Amechi.

  9. As a man I know too well, Buhari will stop at nothing in dealing with any person in his cabinet who attempts to interfere with his administration’s plan. He is a goal getter and not even the political party under which he contested and won.

  10. I wonder why a nationalist like Chef Amechi would make such a statement that the country under President Buhari is at and that a state of emergency should be declared. I am sure the chief would not be in this country if it is at war.

  11. Amaechi’s comment is very antagonistic and presumptious. Who are the people that will do something to him (Mr President)? Amaechi comments lack credibility and facts. He just expects us to take his words for it. At this stage we don’t need anyone to spin conspiracy theories. If you don’t have a proposed solution to help the country then it will be preferable for you to keep your negative comments to your self. We need unity and faith in the government not conspiracy theories and negativity.

Buhari’s administration can never lead to the collapse of Nigeria, in fact Nigeria will never collapse!. Buhari seeks to change this country to a better state and he is working towards it. Definitely, there might be some challenges now but it is obviously in an attempt for the country to get better. Buhari is the best president this country can ever have and his experience as a military man and a ruler of this nation is enough to show that he can lead this nation aright.

  13. Even if there are some powerful people in Buhari’s cabinet, Buhari is the president and he can definitely handle them. Besides he knows the rule of the game he does not need to be told, he has once ruled this great nation before. Also, he has promised to deal with corruption and he will, doubting him won’t change the positive changes he is going to incur in Nigeria.

What other ways or methods can a head of state use to show his competence and to convince his people that he is mindful of their present condition other than what President Buhari is currently doing? He has hired the best hands who have recorded successes in their endeavours both home and abroad. He has fought corruption at every level of governance, he has declared an unending war on Boko Haram to mention a few.

  15. Chief Mbazulike Amechi actually expects us to believe this sham he termed ‘warning the president’, in my candid opinion, he is one of the problems our dear President Buhari has to condone being the father of the nation. I mean, this man is busy and toiling day and night to make life easy for every citizen of this country, he does not need distractions from people like this.

  16. As an elder statesman, Chief Mbazulike Amechi’s contributions and suggestions should be that of proffering solutions to the many challenges that plagues Nigeria’s economy, not pose as another nuisance to the nation.

  17. If Amechi’s revelations were pure, and perhaps by his longevity, experience and connections; he has access to certain facts, are there no better ways to pass the message across to President Mohammadu Buhari? This only points out to the truth, this man wants Buhari’s attention for some reason known to him alone.
