The Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Imo state chapter, on Tuesday 29th August, 2017, paid the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Imo State, Barrister Charles Ezekwem (Ikemba Okigwe) and his executive members, a solidarity visit at the party secretariat.
The delegation led by Hon. Chief B.D. Ugwuibe (Chairman Ahiazu Mbaise), congratulated the chairman on his new office and assured him of their unalloyed and unflinching support in running the affairs of the party.
He described the chairman as “a solid man, good and resilient fighter who can steer the ship of the party to victory”.
In his response, Barr. Charles Chukwudi Ezekwem thanked them for “finding it worthy to pay him a solidarity visit”, noting “that the visit is very significant, hence it’s the first of it’s kind”. He assured that he will carry them along in the scheme of things in the party.
Giving a vote of thanks, the state secretary, Hon. Nze. Raymond Emeana,described the visit as “a signature visit, which shows that the PDP is united right from the grassroots, even as he thanked them for making out time to visit them in a show of solidarity.”
