PDP remains the best party.. Sen Achonu. Describes the APC state government as the worst in history.

Senator Athan Achonu has described the Peoples Democratic Party PDP as the best party in Nigeria and called on Nigerians to join the party. Speaking to newsmen in Abuja, Sen Achonu declared that PDP is a responsible and a truly national party.

He further described the party as firmly united under Senator Ahmed makarfi and Barr Charles Ezekwem the Imo state chairman, while calling on those who still find themselves outside the party to join hands with the Ezekwem led exco to move the party forward. He condemned any attempt to create factions in the party and urged all aggrieved members to embrace the reconciliation moves by the party.

Nigerians he said are yearning for a return of the PDP to power because the party understands the needs of the ordinary Nigerian and will always work to meet those needs.

On the current state of affairs in Imo state, He described the administration of Governor Rochas Okorocha as totally disconnected from Imolites, resulting in hardship and loss of livelihood,unpaid salaries and pensions, heartbreaking demolitions of markets and business premises,destroyed and bad infrastructure among other effects of the Okorocha misadministration.

He wondered why a Governor can afford to spend scarce resources on a weeklong birthday celebration while thousands of pensioners remain unpaid.

On his gubernatorial ambition Senator Achonu revealed that His team is consulting with stakeholders and that further statement would be put out in future. He further affirmed that the most pressing thing on the minds of well meaning Imolites and Nigerians is liberating Imo state and Nigeria from the clutches of the APC government.
