The last may not have been heared as violence was said to have erupted in various Wards in the state over the conduct of APC governorship primary.

This followed a matching order issued by Governor Rochas Okorocha and his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu respectively to kill, maim and destroy any person that will vote against them in the ongoing exercise.

In a telephone chatt with a former Commissioner in the state, who is a factional APC state Organizing Secretary (names withheld), he regretted that Governor Okorocha crossed bounds by ordering the killing of the Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere, Senator Hope Uzodinma and innocent voters in the name of politics.

He added, “I am a Christian and a politician but it is very regrettable that His Excellency, Owelle went too far to direct that the above mentioned be executed. For me, my Christian life will not allow me to waste human lives in the name if politics. You can now see that due to the plans to waste lives of innocent Imo people, an alarm was raised leading to the redeployment of the state Commissioner of Police, CP Dasuki Galadanchi who never cautioned the Governor. I am ready to lose my job under rescue mission, but God will not forgive me and my entire world if I don’t say the truth. Our Governor means well for Imo people but he has stepped his bounds and this cannot be tolerated”

There is also indication that Governor Okorocha and his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu have given a bus to each Ward with a view to mounting surveillance in APC party offices across their area as well as to disrupt stakeholders meeting in their domain.

The source who is no longer comfortable with Governor Okorocha’s desperation further revealed that Uche Nwosu and his cohorts had printed posters of both the Deputy Governor, Prince Madumere and Senator Uzodinma to deceive the public that he has a hand in their ambitions.

Meanwhile, the source affirmed that apart from Madumere and Uzodinma, other remaining Governorship aspirants were being sponsored by Governor Okorocha, his wife, Nkechi and Uche Nwosu to reduce votes in Owerri zone.

It could be recalled that some political thugs suspected to be loyal to Governor Okorocha’s son-in-law, Uche Nwosu had attacked Senator Hope Uzodinma and his supporters during a rally in the state.

This attempt on Senator Uzodinma’s life has sent signals across the state that Governor Okorocha and Uche Nwosu were battle ready to waste more lives to secure the party ticket.
