There is a predictable and foreseeable Tsunami that shall soon hit the Imo State political landscape , especially , the All Progressives Congress , APC Agburu camp of the governor , His Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha ; aftermath his Friday’s visit to President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Villa , Abuja , for the sole aim of beckoning on the Presidency to lend credence to the governorship aspiration of his son-inlaw , Ugwumba Uche Nwosu . ‘ authoritatively ‘ gathered from a source close to the governor that while governor Okorocha had spent over 10 days in Abuja in a bid to thwart the ongoing National Panel of Appeal of the APC as headed by Edo State former governor , Prof. Oserheimen Osunbor ; where well over 200 aggrieved APC aspirants for various elective positions in Imo state have formed a dangerous coalition to challenge the electoral sham called Primary Elections in the state .

Last Friday , October 12th , 2018 , the governor , in the company of two of his trusted allies took another step to meet with the President to intervene over the political imbroglio playing out in the Imo State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress ; while pleading with him to allow his son -in-law fly the flag of the party as its governorship candidate ahead of the 2019 general elections .

To his greatest chagrin , however , President Buhari , having sampled shreds of opinions from the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress, APC , party stalwarts and elders as well as other critical stakeholders from Imo State ; directed governor Okorocha to support in good faith the governorship candidacy of Sen. Hope Uzodinma and the senatorial re -election bid bid of Rt. Hon. Benjamin Uwajimogu as the Presidency cannot afford to loose these two national leaders of the party for anyone’s personal gains .

In his own words , captured the President comments through an established source : ” We cannot afford to loose two serving Senators of our great party to the opposition at this critical time . Sen. Hope Uzodinma and Benjamin Uwajimogu are very important to us.

The party shall reward all aspirants that have remained faithful and loyal to the party ” , our source maintained .

From the above , therefore , the governor who felt rather humiliated on the refusal of the Presidency to grant his wish despite the power of incumbency attached to his office as a serving governor , is up for a rude shock to the party .

There is a palpable fear that the governor is opting to reactivate once again his party , Action Alliance ; a platform under which his son-in-law , Ugwumba Uche Nwosu may realise his governorship ambition given the myriads of his supporters majority of whom are unemployed youths looking for an easy way of survival .

Meanwhile , in the emergency meeting called at the instance of the governor , all National Assembly and State House of Assembly aspirants under the All Progressives Congress , APC , gathered , were directed to submit names of trusted political allies and loyalists as better replacements while they should get ready to join the governor and son-in-law , Ugwumba Uche Nwosu to Action Alliance : A political directive which one of the aspirants told our Correspondent in confidence was taken with a pinch of salt by a number of the participants .

As the race for the 2019 general election gathers momentum , the scheming and other political developments playing out in Imo State and within the political camp of the governor is a demonstration of the resilience and strong will of Imo people that no single individual or family has a monopoly of the state’s affairs as the ‘ Ohasherism Political Ideology ‘ of the governor has turned out to be one of his misgivings in the recent times .

The Political Assistant Editor of , Emmanuel Chibuike with the lens of an Analyst , has perceived a new wave of crises , gulf of defections as some of the governor’s political associates , aides and other lieutenants shall soon be up in arms against one another -including- the -governor , following clashes of interests over their political aspirations in 2019 .
