Following the indefinite adjournment of a case to determine who flies the flag of APC in the 2019 Governorship election in Imo State over a petition against the presiding Judge, Justice Orthman Musa, Governor Rochas Okorocha has offered N40 million Naira cash and another $50, 000 Dollars respectively totalling over hundred million to the Director of Legal, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mrs. Toyin Babalola to influence the removal of an in-house INEC lawyer handling the matter and replace him with a new lawyer that will do their bidding.
According to an insider source, Governor Okorocha released the said money to the Director of Legal, INEC, Mrs. Babalola over his desperation to foist his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu on Imo people as Governor in 2019.
The source maintained that unknown to Mrs. Babalola that the said huge sum given to her to change the INEC Lawyer to pave way for Governor Okorocha’s son-in-law, Uche Nwosu has become a public issue, pointing out that the commission as an unbiased umpire is determined to investigate the issue relating to financial inducement and bring the culprit to book.
It could be recalled that a nephew to Governor Okorocha’s son-in-law, Mr. Bisike Chinaka had petitioned Justice Musa handling the matter over alleged bias in the matter.
