I have taken time to read thru the historical perspective of the current political intrigues in Imo PDP, and the looming electoral backlash that may revisit the party if adequate safeguards are not put in place.
What brought me into this conclusion was the character of the man that is currently at the storm of this political imbroglio.
What started as a family misunderstanding, has snowballed into bitter and fierce political rivalry of national magnitude.
I took my time to profile Dr. Fabian Ihekweme, a known and unrepentant Sen. Sam Daddy ANYANWU’s adherent and a strong character with the strength of wisdom.
Ihekweme, who holds a PhD In Political Science from the University of Hamburg Germany, speaks fluent Deutsch and many other languages, also holds a Masters degree in Coup plotting unknown to many of his contemporaries.
The birth of nPDP may define the shortest route to stamp PDP out of reckoning in the coming dispensation.
The situation in Imo PDP today, warrants urgent and immediate attention by the NWC of the party to come up with an acceptable formula to arrest the ugly situation before it is too late.
The nPDP unarguably, far larger than the mainstream component of the party, has become so formidable in the state as a result of the fallout and bitterness that was witnessed during both the congresses and the primaries.
Any sincere PDP faithful that is still in doubt questioning the looming danger that might visit the party if adequate measures are not put in place to confront the vexed issues head on, cannot be said to be a loyal party member.
My advise to Ndi PDP, is to approach this matter with a clear sense of understanding and sincerity of purpose if at all the party is serious to win the next general elections in Imo state.
PDP can NEVER win the governorship election in Imo state with a divided house. And any attempt to undermine Sen. Sam Daddy ANYANWU in the current situation, may spell doom to the party.
The Ihekweme lead nPDP holds the key to Imo Douglas house.
Accept it or leave it.
